I don't recall any report of a "bricked" state laptop after the reflashing procedure.įor a smooth reflashing you need to charge your battery to highest state as possible when you stay connect to an AC perform the reflashing.Īlso, AFAIK, since my past days with the G51JW -> then with G55VW->and now with G751JT - each of the ROG serie got "emergency" bios flashing capabilities - and they might slightly different from the other, as follows: Other people wouldn't report success if they haven't reflashed the bios SUCCESSFULLY. This forum got many threads that covers the fact that after bios reflashing (same version ) or upgrading various issue after wake-from-sleep are solved. From those posts though, seems that Asus didnt bother to put a fail safe into this laptop. I have only flashed bios on desktops with a fail safe built in. Now for flashing bios, ive seen multiple posts saying people bricked their laptop which is why i havent done it yet for the fear of that.
