![]() That's right 2 tabs for Logitech USB Headset. When I go to >System Settings>Soundcard Detection It opens window with tabs for: ![]() I have tried changing all kinds of stuff with 'Volume Control' to no effect. If I go to >Applications>Sound and Video>Volume Control that is version '2.10.2'. ![]() One thing I know if I run 'alsamixer' in terminal as root I have version '1.1.10'. Seems odd in view of the fact that Skype recommends using a headset for better sound quality. As stated I'm a newbie and haven't found anything yet that resolves this issue. Sometimes it will ring and connect once or twice but I can't hear anything then I get the 'Problem with sound device'. On the gui I get 'Problem with sound device'. When I run 'esddsp skype' in terminal I get $ esddsp skype >Skype>tools>options>hand-headsets>calls and to select dev/dsp1īut when I call Echo123 I get 'Problem with sound device'. I have sound through my PC speakers but can not get my Logitech USB Headset to work. I have the latest version of Skype '1.2.0.18'. I'm a Linux newbie using FC3/FC4 for 8 months and I have searched this and other forums for a few days and not found anything that I understand that solves my problem.
